YHN-KHE-976通常被描述为一个年龄约在16岁的西班牙裔女性人形个体。该异常自称南希小姐，并且声称自己是一名“自由歌者”。该异常被证明可以熟练地使用吉他，并精通多种风格的西班牙语音乐。
在一般情况下，YHN-KHE-976会携带吉他出现在黑岛著名建筑“萨巴斯蒂安纳”附近，并无偿为周围的路人和游客献唱，其献唱的歌曲包括但不限于《绝望的歌》、《漫歌》、《感谢生活》及智利、秘鲁、阿根廷和墨西哥等国家的多首民歌，该异常很少与周围的人进行语言交流，但允许周围人向其点歌。

依据目击者描述，该异常的歌声“有一种神奇的魔力，如在牢笼之中追寻自由，在废墟之上找寻希望一般。”据协会科研部方面研究，认为该异常的歌声并不存在影响人类心智的异常特性，仅为该异常对乐器使用与音律把控较为熟练所致。

1974年至1990年间，每年9月13日上午8时至11时间，YHN-KHE-976会出现在莫内达宫门口，其身上出现多处枪伤，舌头和手指均被割去，全身皮肤大部分被烫伤，并且失去了所有生命体征。下午2时，YHN-KHE-976会从莫内达宫门口消失，并随后再次出现在黑岛，身上无明显外伤痕迹。

YHN-KHE-976最早的目击报告为1974年9月13日于圣地亚哥莫内达宫前，智利政府清扫了YHN-KHE-976躯体，但其随后消失。自1974年起，YHN-KHE-976开始出现在黑岛。1975年10月，协会人员发现了位于黑岛的YHN-KHE-976并试图与其沟通，YHN-KHE-976仅同意通过书信与协会人员进行交流。此后，协会人员将书信递入萨巴斯蒂安纳附近的一个信箱内，最晚在一周内于该信箱找到署名为“南希小姐”的回信。通过书信方式，协会人员于1975年10月到1977年8月间与该异常进行了数次沟通（见附件1）。书信沟通基本未得到有关该异常的更多有效信息。

1990年，YHN-KHE-976出现在萨尔瓦多•阿连德的葬礼上并献唱了多首歌曲；自1991年起，YHN-KHE-976再未出现在莫内达宫门口。两名协会人员负责在黑岛日常对YHN-KHE-976进行观察和监视，在必要情况下，协会人员会向萨巴斯蒂安纳附近的信箱递送书信以与YHN-KHE-976进行交流。
